If you have need for a hospital bed, please let Pastor Dave know. We may be able to connect you with one that is available.
October’s Free Community Dinner will feature Baked Ham and a dessert buffet. We need help in the kitchen, help for clean-up, folks to provide dessert items, and volunteers to enjoy a meal while chatting at table with our neighbors. Dinner will be served from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
October 4 is World Communion Sunday, when Christians throughout the globe will symbolically join in a global table to partake of our common sacrament. You will also be invited to provide a gift for the World Communion Sunday offering, which supports scholarships for deserving young people through the General Board of Global Ministries and the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry. See you in church!
Don't forget the Bazaar when you are fall housecleaning. Items will be picked up anytime or dropped off at the Church Thursdays between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m.
We’ll look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we partake of all of the goodness of God at the Lord’s Table. Our text for the morning continues in John, and we’ll look at how Jesus went beyond miraculously feeding the 5000 for a day and offered spiritual nourishment for eternity.
Don’t overeat at lunch this coming Sunday, because you’re going to want to come and “pig out,” at our Free Community Dinner from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Pork Chops with all the fixings and a whole trough load of desserts will have you oinking with joy! Let Roger Schwartz know how you can help out, and by all means, come out and dine with our neighbors as we seek to include them in our midst.
The summer vacation season is slipping by and, before you know it, our young people will be back to their educational endeavors. All of the young people of our community are invited to receive our prayers as we bless their backpacks on Sunday, August 30. We’ll also be inviting all educators, school personnel, retired teachers and others to join in laying hands on our young people as they begin a new school year.
