We will be continuing our pilgrimage through the Acts of the Apostles and the life of the early church. After last week’s sad story about the consequences dealt to Ananias and Sapphira for not upholding their promises, we come to a compelling look at a compassionate Pharisee, Gamaliel, who attempts to mediate the ongoing dispute between the Apostles and the Jewish leaders. We are blessed to have back with us Joe Mozingo, who will provide our special music. See you in church!

We have some copies of three United Methodist publications that folks are invited to borrow, read, and return to the pile when they’re done. “The United Methodist Way,” by Branson Thurston; “Questions and Answers About the United Methodist Church,” by Thomas McAnally and, “We Are United Methodists,” by Ewart Watts. Whether you have no history with the Methodist movement, or are a life-long member of our denomination, these should be worthwhile reads. “United Methodism 101,” is an on-line opportunity for you to deepen your understanding of who we are as a denomination.
