Needlework MINISTRY
The Knitting Ministry began in 2005, and was revived in 2023 as the Needlework Ministry, and encompasses all variety of needlework talent, including knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross-stitch, and more. The group makes lap blankets, baby blankets, preemie and chemo caps and prayer shawls. These items are presented at baptisms, taken to members who are in the hospital or in rehabilitation centers, and to area hospital cancer wards.
Additionally, the Needlework Ministry group set up a table of handmade items for sale in the back of the Fellowship Hall, the proceeds of which will be donated to the church. New items are being added to the table right along, so when you're in the Fellowship Hall, be sure to stop by and take a look!
Needlework Ministry meets the first Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. in the lounge. Anyone who does needlework of any kind (knit, crochet, cross-stitch, etc.) is welcome to attend! For more info, please see Cheryl Hower.
