Our Scripture for Sunday is the engaging Parable of the Wedding Feast, where the rebuffed host quickly becomes a generous benefactor to the outcast, but then tosses one who is sartorially challenged out in the darkness. Great story – great lesson. Our Choir will sing Patti Drennan’s arrangement of the beloved favorite, “This Is My Father’s World,” and the young people will have a lesson on party etiquette. Following worship, the Adult Sunday School Class will dig into the hymn, “Be Still My Soul.” Join us for coffee, reflection, and conversation. SEE YOU IN CHURCH!!
Our Charge Conference will be this Saturday, October 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Ackermanville UMC. Everyone is invited to participate. Bible Study
This Monday evening in Bible Study we’ll be looking at Romans 11. You are welcome to join us as we continue our journey in what many call Paul’s greatest theological treatise. 7:00 p.m. start. Coffee will be on. Everybody is welcome!!
The public has cried out for more. The Bazaar staff has listened. Due to high demand, the Bazaar will be expanding its hours for holiday shopping! This year, we will have shopping hours. We’ll be open Monday, November 13 through Thursday, November 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (for White Elephant items only), Friday, November 17, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, November 18, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. We will be serving food all day on Friday and Saturday. Because of these extended hours, the Bazaar committee is looking for seasonal sales-floor staff. Please see Lois Tucker or Ruth Parsons to volunteer your time!

Please note that the following items cannot be accepted: candy, toothpaste, used or damaged items, war-related items, food, liquid or lotions, medications, vitamins, or fragile items. The deadline to bring your boxes to the Church is November 12. Dare we try to collect 100 boxes? Let’s dare.
